It is a HUGE honor that Lagunitas Brewing Co. has selected WISE to be a recipient of their charitable donations in support of their local community, this year. Not only are they providing the venue to host our fundraiser, Lagunitas is giving WISE 100% of all BEER and wine sales for the night. Please stop by and buy a Pint for a Purpose and support the Waugh School District.

Catch The Melt, a SF Bay Area funk outfit, perform at Pints for a Purpose at Lagunitas on Monday, February 29th.

Members Todd Bugbee on Guitar/Vocals, Rhyne Erde on Drums, Harlan Rollins on Bass, and Jeff Stevenson on Keys will take the stage at 6pm and hypnotize the crowd with their danceable funk-jazz sounds. The band is heavily influenced by some amazing bands such as The Meters, The New Mastersounds, MMW, Garage A Trios, Soulive and many other heavy-groove oriented artists! They’ve been playing shows all over the bay area for the past few months and WISE is super excited to have their support at Pints for a Purpose, helping us to raise money for students in the Waugh School District and keep art, music, library and computer programs available.

You can check them out at Also, check out the new CD they just released “Monkey Genes”.  To learn about upcoming shows around the Bay Area, follow them on Facebook.

FAninos_logo-basic-web[paragraph extra=””]If you haven’t had the opportunity to try F.A. Nino’s, then this is one event you don’t want to miss. F.A. Nino’s is known for their sauces, sold in local stores. Lagunitas actually uses one or more of their sauces in some dishes. Petaluma Hills Brewing Co. has F.A. Nino’s cater to their crowds on Sundays from 2pm to 6pm. F.A. Nino’s even uses PHBC’s Portaluma in one of their sauces for “out of this world” steak or chicken tacos. OMG! Mouth watering food, folks. For real.[/paragraph]

[alert type=”alert-info” close=”false”]This event is open to the public. Adults only, 21 and up. Pre-order meal tickets at $15 each, $20 at the door (while supplies last.) There is a $5 suggested in-kind donation for drop-ins without food purchase. 100% of beer and wine sales for the night goes to The WISE Foundation. The WISE Foundation is a non-profit educational foundation serving the Waugh school district and currently fully funds the art, music, library and computer programs the state budget doesn’t provide. Without the generosity of our local community, businesses and parents, these programs would be cut. Thank you for your support. Together we are enriching today, for a better tomorrow.[/alert]
