What kinds of stories does Bob have to share?

On January 8, 1989, the 49ers would play the Bears in Chicago for the NFC title, the winner going to the Super Bowl. The 49ers won handily, as impressive a road victory as they accomplished. But that’s not what I remember of that time. What I do remember is what happened as I was sitting in Mike Ditka’s office four days before the game.I was interviewing the Bears coach for the Press Democrat. Ditka was notoriously ill-tempered. Many media were careful to parse their words so as not to enrage him. Which is why I remember so clearly what Ditka did in the middle of my interview.

Buy a ticket and hear the answer to this story and many more! This is sure to be an evening you won’t soon forget.

Your ticket purchase goes directly to The WISE Foundation directly benefiting children in the Waugh School District by funding the art, music, library and computer programs for the district. Thank you for your contribution and support.
Thank you to Bob Padecky and Melissa Becker for their generous donation.

WISE Annual Report for 2015-2016

WISE is pleased to announce we raised over $65,000 at Visions & Vines this year.

We couldn’t have done this without meeting our goal of raising $10,000 in the RAFFLE drive and receiving the $10,000 MATCH. This $20,000 was critical to helping us reach our fundraising goal for the year. Without these funds, programs would be cut.

[one_half extra=”” anim=””]

[one_half extra=”” anim=””]

Whether you participated in the Parent Giving Program, sponsored a child in the Fun Run, bid in our auction, or bought a raffle ticket. Every dollar counts.

[alert type=”alert-success” close=”false”]It costs $275 each year for your student(s) to have art, music, library and computer programs as part of their curriculum. 100% participation in the Annual Parent Giving Program would eliminate the need for additional fundraising. Your contribution helps the Waugh School District provide a private school education at a public school cost.[/alert]

Thank you to our donors, sponsors, volunteers, parents, teachers and staff for your continued support — together we are enriching today, for a better tomorrow.

The WISE Foundation is pleased to award the district $166,000 next year, to fund Art, Music, Library and Computer programs, benefiting all Waugh students.

The WISE Foundation would like to honor and thank our

Last Chance to turn in RAFFLE Tickets!

Today by 4PM is your last chance to turn in RAFFLE tickets.

In an effort to make the evening more enjoyable and less chaotic, we will NOT be selling tickets at Visions & Vines tomorrow night. So this is IT! Get them turned in!

We are just over half way to our goal. We need to collect 10,000 tickets to receive a $10,000 MATCH from a generous donor! Let’s Do This Waugh! If everyone turns in 10 tickets, we might have a chance.

Your $10 could mean an additional $10,000 for our schools!

There are collection boxes in each school office, WISE tables will be out front of schools at pick-up.

The RAFFLE drawing will take place tomorrow night at Visions & Vines. Who will be our Three Lucky Winners? You do not need to be present to win. Make sure you have a name and phone number on your ticket and turn them in to be entered to win.

Thank you to our sponsors!

Pints for a Purpose – Thank YOU!

Thanks to those of you who came out to support WISE and bought a pint. Because of YOU…

We raised $4,774 for students in the Waugh School District!

A big thank you goes to Lagunitas for choosing WISE to be one of the recipients of their generous donations in support of their community this year. Lagunitas gave us 100% of the beer sales for the night, totaling $2,323. Thanks Lagunitas!

Also, WISE would like to thank The Melt and F.A. Nino’s for donating their time and talent to help make this event a success. The Melt rocked the stage and entertained our guests with their funk-jazz grooves. You can track The Melt’s upcoming shows on their website. They will be playing at The Big Easy on March 16th for the Petaluma Music Festival Showcase. Get out and vote for them! F.A. Nino’s food is taking Petaluma by storm. They are the talk of the town and WISE is blessed to have had their support for this fundraiser. You can buy F.A. Nino’s mouth-watering sauces in local stores. They also have their food truck at Petaluma Hills Brewing Co. on Sundays from 2-6pm. Keep an eye and ear out for both of these amazing talents. Food and Grooves to feed your soul.

Thank you Lagunitas, The Melt and F.A. Nino’s.
